How we engrave your Roselli

Make your knife or axe truly yours with a custom engraving. We use precision laser engraving to create a lasting mark on the blade. Whether it’s a name, date, or a short phrase, your engraving makes each Roselli unique.  Simply add your engraving in the designated engraving box before checkout.

What should I engrave?

The hardest part of engraving is often deciding what to engrave! The most common requests are names, dates, or years – perfect for marking a special person or life event. If you’d like something more custom, such as a logo, please contact us at info@roselli.fi.

Product description

Compact, versatile and built for real outdoor use, this is Roselli's interpretation of the classic Nordic utility knife.

Inspired by traditional carving knives, its compact size and carefully balanced design make it exceptionally easy to carry while offering outstanding control for detailed work. Whether you're carving wood around camp, preparing feather sticks, processing small game or handling everyday outdoor tasks, it performs with confidence and precision.

The blade is handcrafted from drop-hammer forged carbon steel, a traditional manufacturing method that compresses and strengthens the steel structure for improved toughness and long-term durability. Hardened to approximately 60 HRC, the blade offers an excellent balance between sharpness, strength and ease of sharpening in the field. It is designed to withstand demanding outdoor use while remaining easy to maintain wherever your adventures take you.

The compact blade profile gives precise control during detailed cutting tasks and makes the knife particularly appreciated by bushcraft enthusiasts, woodworkers and hunters who prefer a smaller, more agile knife.

The handle is crafted from Finnish curly birch and treated with linseed oil to provide a secure and comfortable grip, even in wet or cold conditions. Every piece of wood carries its own unique grain pattern, making each knife one of a kind.

For safe carry and long-lasting protection, the knife is supplied with a handcrafted sheath made from vegetable-tanned Finnish leather. Built from natural materials and designed to age beautifully, it reflects the same commitment to quality and durability as the knife itself.

Handmade in Harmoinen, Finland, and built according to Roselli's One Knife for Life philosophy, this is a dependable outdoor companion designed to serve for generations.

FAQs

What makes the Carpenter knife different from the Hunting knife?

The Carpenter knife features a shorter and more compact blade, providing increased control for detailed tasks such as wood carving, bushcraft work and small game processing. Many users prefer it when precision is more important than blade length.

Is the Carpenter knife suitable for bushcraft?

Yes. Its compact size, excellent control and durable drop-hammer forged carbon steel blade make it one of Roselli's most versatile bushcraft and outdoor knives.

Why is drop-hammer forged carbon steel beneficial?

Drop-hammer forging compresses and refines the steel structure, creating a tougher and more durable blade. Combined with Roselli's carbon steel, it delivers reliable performance, excellent strength and easy field maintenance.

Can the Carpenter knife be used for hunting?

Yes. The blade size makes it particularly suitable for hunters who pursue smaller game and appreciate maximum control during processing.

Does every knife look exactly the same?

No. Every knife is handcrafted using natural materials. Variations in the grain, colour and character of the curly birch handle are part of what makes each Roselli knife unique.
