The Roselli Grandfather knife, silver ferrule, UHC is a compact hunting and outdoor knife based on our classic Hunting knife. Its shorter 75 mm blade makes it particularly easy to control, making it an excellent choice for hunters and outdoor users who prefer precision and maneuverability over the additional reach of a larger knife.
The slightly curved blade is particularly well suited to detailed work when processing game. Its compact size allows you to guide the blade closely and use a finger near the tip for additional control when needed, while remaining versatile enough for carving, food preparation and practical tasks around camp.
The blade is made from Roselli’s own Ultra High Carbon (UHC) steel, developed for exceptional sharpness and outstanding edge retention. With a hardness of around 64 HRC, UHC steel is considerably harder than conventional knife steels, allowing the edge to stay extremely sharp for a very long time.
This exceptional hardness also means the blade should be treated as a precision cutting tool. UHC steel performs best with controlled, gliding cuts. Avoid twisting the blade or striking bone and other very hard materials to protect the fine edge.
The handle is crafted from stained Finnish curly birch and treated with linseed oil for a comfortable and secure grip, even in demanding outdoor conditions. A 925 sterling silver ferrule adds a refined handcrafted detail that complements the natural grain of the wood and gives this version of the Grandfather knife its distinctive premium character.
Each Grandfather knife, silver ferrule, UHC is crafted, sharpened and finished by hand in Harmoinen, Finland. It comes with a handcrafted sheath made from dark, vegetable-tanned Finnish leather, featuring a metal spring that helps keep the knife securely in place while carrying it.
